Which platforms are supported?
Reddit & X. On Reddit, scrape thread comments from reddit.com and old.reddit.com. On X, scrape post replies from x.com and twitter.com status pages. The extension autodetects which platform you are on.
Is this affiliated with Reddit or X?
No. Social Scraper+ is an independent tool built by a third party. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Reddit, Inc. or X Corp.
What counts as a free scrape?
Each time you click Scrape on a Reddit thread or X post, that uses one scrape from your free allowance of 10. Exports to clipboard, AI, CSV, and JSON do not count separately.
Where is scraped data stored?
Scraped data and your history are stored locally in your browser using Chrome storage. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
What export formats are supported?
Copy plain text to the clipboard, copy a ready-made AI analysis prompt with the scrape attached, download CSV for spreadsheets, or download JSON for scripts.
Does it work on old Reddit?
Yes. The extension works on reddit.com and old.reddit.com thread pages. Open any post with comments and click Scrape Comments.
How does X scraping work?
Open any public X post (a /status/ URL), open the side panel, and click Scrape Replies. The extension reads the post and visible replies from the page, including likes and repost counts when available.
Can I choose which fields to include?
Yes. Settings has separate export toggles for Reddit (title, body, subreddit, thread depth, etc.) and X (handle, engagement, likes, etc.).
Side panel or popup?
Side panel is the default. It stays open while you browse. You can switch to a dropdown popup in Settings if you prefer.
What is Social Scraper+ Pro?

What social media can I scrape?
Social Scraper+ supports Reddit and X only. On Reddit, export comments from public threads on reddit.com and old.reddit.com. On X, export replies from public posts at x.com and twitter.com. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other platforms are not supported.
Do I need the Reddit API to export comments?
No. Social Scraper+ reads the Reddit thread you have open in Chrome and exports comments locally. You do not need a Reddit API key or developer app for this workflow. Is the Reddit API free?
