No. Social Scraper+ is an independent tool built by a third party. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Reddit, Inc. or X Corp.
Each time you click Scrape on a Reddit thread or X post, that uses one scrape from your free allowance of 10. Exports to clipboard, AI, CSV, and JSON do not count separately.
Scraped data and your history are stored locally in your browser using Chrome storage. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.

Yes. The extension works on reddit.com and old.reddit.com thread pages. Open any post with comments and click Scrape Comments.
Open any public X post (a /status/ URL), open the side panel, and click Scrape Replies. The extension reads the post and visible replies from the page, including likes and repost counts when available.
Yes. Settings has separate export toggles for Reddit (title, body, subreddit, thread depth, etc.) and X (handle, engagement, likes, etc.).
Side panel is the default. It stays open while you browse. You can switch to a dropdown popup in Settings if you prefer.

No. Social Scraper+ reads the Reddit thread you have open in Chrome and exports comments locally. You do not need a Reddit API key or developer app for this workflow.
